The fashion brand Gucci presented its new collection which is named Gucci Showtime Musical with a fame culture and Hollywood theme. The musical is prepared to present the 2019 Spring-Summer collection and taking the viewers to the 40s and 50s. As you know the 40s and 50s was one of the most colorful periods of history.
The campaign film is directed by Glen Luchford and he is inspired by cult films such as An American in Paris (1951), The Band Wagon (1953), Cover Girl (1944), No Show Like Business (1954), Gentlemen Prefer Blondes (1953) and Singin ‘in the Rain (1952).
The campaign, with its theatrical images that remind old movies, songs and dance figures of talented artists from the past presents maximum charm and grandeur. Colorful sets with large stage and stairs remind to us a surreal alternative to the dream sequence and the cheerful scenes of the famous musicals of the 40s and 50s. Gucci musical characters are presented with a silver screen image with collection photos. And the 30s and 40s nostalgic Hollywood stars are being imitated. Just as it was at the time, these photos also reveal the cool and elegant charm.
The backstage images created in the campaign video refer to the fact that Hollywood musicals are actually inspired by the show world itself. These scenes enable us to see other characters such as producers and set workers and to meet the eclectic and extensive Gucci team that come together to perform this epic production.
